The Parent Postdocs Working Group is dedicated to supporting Postdoctoral Scholars who are parents, becoming parents, or aspiring parents by advocating for family-friendly policies, fostering community, and promoting equitable access to career development opportunities. We aim to create an inclusive environment where Parent Postdocs and their families can thrive.
What we've done
What we've done
We've hosted events like the Early Career Q&A Panel in Winter 2026, and are always at Postdoc Appreciation Week events or new Postdoc Orientation events hosted by the UCalgary Postdoctoral Office or the Postdoctoral Association of the University of Calgary (PDAC). We advocate for family-friendly policies and supports with many other organizations and groups on the UCalgary campus. We are also always available to chat by email if you have any questions regarding parental leave or other parental issues. Please contact us to join our Teams or WhatsApp Chat Community Groups.
